Building a Healthy Baby ‘Gut’

Building a Healthy Baby ‘Gut’

Having healthy gut flora can improve baby’s digestion and immune function*. Here are some ways you can help baby build a healthy gut.

Happy baby crawling

Breastfeeding is one of the easiest ways to promote healthy bacteria in baby’s gut, a recent Danish study found that breastfeeding encourages the growth of healthy bacteria in baby’s gut.

Skin to Skin Contact

Gut bacteria is passed on by skin contact as well so skin-to-skin contact is a great way to help baby build a healthy gut.

Probiotics are living micro-organisms found in healthy digestive tracts*. They help maintain the balance of “good” and “bad” bacteria in the gut*. Probiotics are meant to be taken on a regular basis and work best over time. You can feed baby probiotic rich foods like yogurt or kefir or give them a daily probiotic supplement like Mommy’s Bliss Probiotic Drops*.
