Much respect for everyone who became a new mama in 2020, or is soon to become one. That year made you a strong mom, and you have what it takes to support your strong baby. Now it’s time to show 2021 who’s boss!

More than ever before, people are talking about immunity, and as always, Mommy’s Bliss is here for you, with tips and tricks that help and a lineup of products made to support your baby’s immunity.

We all know the drill: wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, and often. Eat a balanced diet rich in healthy foods. Get plenty of sleep. These simple practices go a long way toward keeping us feeling well and strong. What you might not know is that they are great practices to support your baby, too.

We can see a lot of the development babies go through: They grow taller, gain weight, their facial features come into focus, and we can even see their personality come through. There’s a lot of development going on beneath the surface too, including their immune system.

Form good habits and maintain your routines

Washing hands

Wash your baby’s hands when you wash yours: before and after meals, when coming home from outside, and after playtime. Handwashing can be a fun and nurturing part of your mealtime rituals, and it is also a way to make the practice a matter of course that you don’t have to teach (or nag about) later.

Steady Sleep routine

The body does its biggest work when we’re sleeping, and rest is another important component of immunity support. If you don’t already have a sleep routine that works for you and your baby, this is a good time to start one, and we have some tips for bedtime bliss. If the stress of the COVID-19 stay-at-home order has upended your family’s sleep routine, you are not alone, and sleep expert Nicole Cannon has some suggestions that may help you get back on track.

Exercise and movement

Work some kind of movement into your days. Exercise, whether inside or out, can be a mood lifter, and staying physically active has immunity benefits too. Being stuck in the house has shown us the value of a little fresh air, but it’s harder to get out in the winter. This means that most of us can use a vitamin D supplement, babies included. Our Baby Vitamin D Organic Drops are safe for newborns and one drop a day provides 400 IU of vitamin D.

Keep trusted products on hand

Even when you follow all the guidelines, sometimes baby may need a little extra support. Mommy’s Bliss has four probiotics formulations to support your newborn’s intestinal and immune systems from day one.. Our Baby Probiotics + Vitamin D to supports bone development, and Probiotic Drops + Colic Support can help with fussiness and tummy troubles from colic.

Mommy’s Bliss Organic Baby Elderberry Drops, are also a great option for additional immune support.  Crafted just for baby with organic Black Elderberry, prebiotics, zinc, and organic echinacea.

There are many paths to wellbeing, and these are the practices and products that work for us and our babies. We encourage you always check with your pediatrician and try what resonates with you and find what works for your baby.
