Are Mommy's Bliss Baby Elderberry drops 3rd party tested?
Yes! Our Elderberry Drops are NSF Certified which means they have been independently tested and certified to meet standards for quality, safety and label claims. Learn more about our NSF Certified products here.
Where does your citric acid come from?
Like nearly all citric acid used in food production, our citric acid is manufactured by bio-fermentation of carbohydrate starting materials, such as sugar and starch processing wastes. Converted to citric acid by bacteria and then extensively purified by filtration, ion exchange and successive recrystallizations produce a pure, food-grade citric acid.
Can I use Baby Elderberry Drops every day?
You can! But only after consulting with your pediatrician, as with any supplement you plan to give your baby.
Can Baby Elderberry Drops be mixed into a bottle of formula?
Sorry, no. This formula has a low pH, which means adding it to formula or breastmilk will cause curdling (ew). You can add Organic Baby Elderberry Drops to a bottle of water or juice, though!
How does elderberry support immunity?
European elder fruit, known today as elderberry, has been used since ancient times by herbalists, including the founders of Western medicine (Hippocrates, Dioscorides and Pliny the Elder), to ease respiratory symptoms, help heal wounds and encourage general healthfulness. Loaded with antioxidants, including vitamin C and polyphenolic proanthocyanins, elderberry’s reputation as a friend to the immune system is still holding strong.
