6 Gentle Ways to Support Kids’ Coughs

We at Mommy’s Bliss know it’s hard as a parent to see your kids when they aren't their happy selves. Parents want to help soothe their kids but want to make sure they are using solutions and products that are gentle and safe. Here are some tips and natural solutions to help comfort your kids.

1. Rest

Get those ZZZ! Kids' immune systems have to work hard to keep them healthy. In order to let kids’ immune systems recover it is important for them to get enough sleep. Babies may need up to 18 hours of sleep, toddlers and preschoolers between 12 and 13 hours, and grade-schooler 10-11 hours.

2. Humidifier

Try keeping a humidifier running in your child’s room or have them sit in a hot, steamy bathroom for 15 minutes a couple of times a day. Moist air will help open up their air passages, loosen mucus, and soothe a sore throat.

3. Saline Drops

If your child has occasional nasal congestion, saline drops are a common, non-medicated option to clean, moisturize, and soothe your little one’s delicate nasal passages.

4. Hydration
